Became a little obsessed with the Jewish holiday of Sukkot today.
Spent the day on my bike with my Rollieflex and 20 rolls of film.
Cruising and shooting in Williamsburg's south Bedford street and surrounding area.
99% Hasidic Jewish.
Not hard to find inspiration here at all. Sukkot is in full swing!
In the course of 5 hours i came away with rolls full of cityscapes of the
hut-like dwellings created for the Sukkot celebration.
Really amazing visually.
Especially to a white boy from Kentucky

I think this will become a long term personal project.
Pics will post in a couple of days.

The rest of the evening was spent at the Mollusk surf shop.
Surf film premier.
Projected on industrial tanks across from the shop.
Drinking beers. Eating BBQ. Getting stoked.
Genius.
